Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Student
& IT Professional
Welcome to my humble site!
I'm interested in embedded software engineering and the intersection of hardware and software. Currently working through Real Time C++ by Christopher Kormanyos and exploring writing C++ code for the BBC Microbit, as well as bread-boarding some simple hardware to control using Adafruit-style devices and other common microprocessors. I'm an upper division CS student at Portland State. I also am working towards a second major by taking ECE classes and learning about digital hardware design, circuits, and embedded programming. I'd like to steer my career towards sensors and control systems, ultimately ending up in automotive/vehicular engineering.
I also work for PSU's OIT department and volunteer with the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science Computer Action Team, helping to support dozens of departments across campus with their tech needs.
As a Technical course support specialist, I work directly with students in CS labs and homework recitations, helping to develop my own confidence with C++ and Data Structures.
I also run a constantly evolving small homelab server that hosts a shared filesystem of over 2TB data, various Linux distributions, VPN services, and more!
